About Braces Math

Braces Math turns an orthodontist's quote into what you will actually pay: insurance and its lifetime maximum, the payment plan, and FSA or HSA tax savings. Alongside it, BLS wage data for orthodontists, dentists, hygienists and assistants in every state. It quotes no treatment prices and is not paid by any practice.

How the site works

The calculator works only from the numbers you enter; the wage pages come from the Bureau of Labor Statistics; tax limits come from IRS revenue procedures. Braces Math quotes no treatment prices, takes no payment from practices or lenders, and shows its rules on the methodology page.

Corrections

If a figure is wrong or a source has changed, email hello@bracesmath.com with the page and a link. Corrections go into the data file and the check date updates with the next build.
